I currently see individual, couples, and testing clients in this private practice as well as working for the Department of Defense. I am actively involved in research. I have a variety of research interests and have published in the following areas:
- Childhood sexual abuse: Its impact on ones ability to let go of anger and its effect on relationships
- Mild traumatic brain injury and its impact on amount of health complaints following injury
- Best practices in helping reduce international disaster effects among relief workers
- Anger: Can it be a “default emotion” and how this impacts interpersonal relationships
Special Training
Dialectial Behavior Therapy:
- I have received training in DBT (created by Marsha Linehan) and developed an educational therapy group at Princeton House Behavioral Health to help women who have survived traumatic experiences with emotion regulation, social skills training, and relaxation (also known as mindfulness).
Motivational Interviewing:
- When working at Princeton House Behavioral Health, I received training in providing non-confrontation drug and alcohol treatment.
