Testing
If you are coming for MEG testing from the Pacific Northwest Conference, Free Methodist Church, this will explain what to expect.
The PNWC is committed to encouraging emotional heath for all their clergy. Testing is meant to determine current emotional health and identify any possible needs that might arise for candidates once they are ordained.
After you have scheduled an appointment for testing, expect to spend about 3 and a half to 5 hours at my office. Dress comfortably and bring any reading aids you might need. Try to get a good nights sleep and eat before testing. If you are bring your partner, they will be involved for about 45 minutes of the total testing time. There is a waiting room in the office with coffee and tea; resturants are also in the building.
Testing involves an hour interview over your personal history, a half hour interivew with your partner, yourself and Dr. Stewart, and then two psychological tests. One test is computer based and the other is pencil and paper. Personality tests simply help give an empirically based description of who you are, what your strengths are, and what are some of your weaknesses. Test results are order by and meant for the PNWC but Dr Stewart will go over test results with all candidates before presenting it with the MEG committee to make sure all information is accurate and understood by the candidate.
